Travel Conditions and Itinerary

Prepare for a comprehensive journey from central to western Tibet, involving 6-8 hours of daily travel, mostly on well-maintained roads except during the rainy season or winter. The long drives are a small trade-off for the incredible experiences and vistas that await.

Best Time to Visit

The optimal time to visit Ngari is from May to early October. It’s advisable to avoid July and August due to the peak tourist influx and the rainy season. Winter months from November to March can be extremely cold, with potential road closures, making travel to the Ngari Region less favourable during this time.

Can I Talk to a Travel Consultant in Person?

Absolutely! We encourage our clients to visit our office and discuss their travel plans directly with our travel consultants. Together, we can tailor your Tibet tour to fit your preferences and requirements.

How Can I Make the Payment?

Once you are happy with your tour arrangements and have confirmed your booking, a deposit of 20% of the total trip cost is required. This deposit can be paid through PayPal, Credit Card, Western Union, or Wire Transfer. The remaining balance is due at the start of your tour.

Do I Have to Travel on Certain Dates?

No, you don’t. Our tours are fully customizable, allowing you to choose any travel date that suits you (subject to flight availability). The itineraries on our website are samples, and you’re free to modify any aspect to match your personal preferences. Your travel consultant is here to assist and guide you through the process.

Do I Need to Travel as Part of a Group?

Not necessarily. Our tailor-made trips are designed on an individual basis, meaning you have the flexibility to plan your itinerary according to your own interests and pace. However, if you are interested in a group experience, we offer small group tours limited to a maximum of 16 people.

My journey to Mount Kailash was nothing short of transformative. The breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas, combined with the deeply spiritual atmosphere of the region, made for an experience that I will cherish forever. Our tour was well-organized, ensuring a comfortable and enriching journey through the heart of Tibet. The trek to Mount Kailash was challenging but incredibly rewarding, with each step bringing a deeper sense of peace and introspection. Visiting the sacred Lake Manasarovar was a highlight, offering moments of serene contemplation. This tour not only provided an opportunity to witness the stunning beauty of the Tibetan landscape but also to delve into the rich tapestry of Tibetan Buddhism and culture. It’s a must-do for anyone seeking a journey that nourishes both the body and soul.

Our tour of Tibet gave us a wonderful exposure to stunning scenery; the rich cultural history and the friendly and hospitable people.
The overall schedule was well balanced to give enough time to cover so much of the country and acclimatise to the altitude, without feeling too rushed.
The guide, Sonam, was knowledgeable and passionate about his Buddhist faith and the temples we visited. He was also genuinely keen to learn about the geology of this dynamic landscape from me, a retired geologist.
We had been provided with a map of the tour, and a detailed map of the Kailash kora, which is also available on the internet.
