Zayü Farm, nestled within the Lower Zayü Town of Zayü County, represents a significant county-level state-owned farm established in March 1965. Initially part of the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Border Defense Corps between 1965-1978, it later came under various administrative controls until settling under the governance of Nyingchi Region since 1985. Today, it boasts over 400 inhabitants, including 162 staff members, managing 5,400 acres of land.
Sitting at elevations between 1,400 to 1,900 meters, Zayü Farm enjoys a subtropical valley climate with warm winters, hot summers, and annual rainfall reaching 1,000mm. Its average temperature hovers around 15.8°C, providing 1,680 hours of sunshine yearly, creating an ideal environment for diverse crop growth. The farm focuses on agriculture, supplemented by livestock breeding and processing industries. It has sizeable plantations of tung oil trees, peanuts, corn, citrus fruits, loquats, chestnuts, lychees, pomelos, grapes, and has introduced eight high-quality varieties including longan, sweet persimmons, and plum. Additionally, it has established specialized bases for Tibetan medicinal herb cultivation, high-value modern agricultural plantings, and eco-tourism.

This village is enveloped by a natural wild peach forest covering about 1,000 acres, offering a scenic and genuine community atmosphere. The evergreen surroundings, chirping birds, and secluded yet elegant setting make it a unique nature paradise and peach base. The wild peach forest serves not only as an ornamental greenery year-round but also provides edible and medicinal fruit and kernels.

The Millennia-Weathered Rocks of Zayü
The Millennia-Weathered Rocks, located to the west of Zayü County town near the crossroads of the Bicacha and Rancacha routes, are a must-visit geological wonder for travelers to Zayü. Only 12 kilometers from Zayü County town and a 30-minute drive at an elevation of about 2,400 meters, this site showcases the incredible force of water over rock through ages of erosion, resulting in a stunning geological spectacle.
The area spans just 4 square kilometers, with a verdant 800-meter-long canyon cutting through, where smooth, round rocks have been sculpted into caves and grooves, devoid of any sharp edges. The uniquely shaped rocks, reminiscent of rhinos, dolphins, and hippos, are enveloped by lush forests.
