Aviation Security Guidelines: Prohibited Items and Consequences for Passengers – Stay Informed!

The passenger may face severe punishment for hiding fire-related and prohibited items according to law

The Civil Aviation Public Security Bureau has announced that passengers are not allowed to bring lighters, matches, cutting tools, and liquids when boarding. Intentionally concealing or using these items will result in strict legal punishment by the public security organs.

Regulations for Lithium battery

Please remove power banks from your luggage for separate inspection during security checks. Passengers are not allowed to board flights with power banks that do not meet regulations or lack clear identification or a logo.

Prohibited from carrying firecrackers!

According to the “ The regulation of carrying firecracker”

Prohibited from carrying liquid belongings on your domestic flights!

Such as 100ml or more cosmetics, water, beverages, milk, canned goods, sauces, etc. According to the “Announcement on the prohibition of passengers carrying liquid objects aboard a civil aircraft”.

About passengers’ legal liability for carrying lighter matches on civil aviation aircraft

Per Civil Aviation Administration of China regulations, passengers cannot bring lighters or matches in either carry-on or checked baggage. If you possess these items, kindly remove and dispose of them. Failure to comply may result in administrative fines of up to ¥ 5,000 and detention by public security. Any resulting losses will be your own responsibility.

Passengers are prohibited from carrying cigarette lighters and matches onboard civil aircraft

Such as (lighters, matches, cigarette lighters, magnesium rods, etc.) According to the “Notice that passengers are prohibited from carrying a lighter match on board a civil aircraft”【2008】No. 3

Prohibited filming and photographing at the security inspection site.

According to the regulations on state secret coverage in civil aviation work issued by the Civil Aviation Administration, passengers are not allowed to take photos or videos at security inspection sites.

Prohibit to travel by plane for a period of one year

Starting from May 1st, 2018, causing trouble at the airport, fraudulently using someone’s identity to board, interfering with security checkpoints and boarding gates, smoking in the cabin, and other disruptive behaviours will be prohibited for one year in air travel.

The National Development and Reform Commission, Civil Aviation Administration, Central Civilization Office, Supreme People’s Court, Ministry of Finance, State Administration of Taxation, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and China Securities Regulatory Commission issued the “On Limiting Serious Disciplinarians from Boarding Civil Aircraft in Specified Timeframes and Promoting the Development of Social Credit System.”

Please prepare a valid ID and boarding pass in advance for a security check!

The rechargeable lithium battery is strictly prohibited from being checked.

Lithium battery, power bank takes along will apply prescribed conditions.

  • Please make sure the Power is less than or equal to 100 watts.
  • If the Power value is more than 100 and less than 160 watts, need to get permission from aviation authorities and be allowed to take only two power banks per person.
  • Battery with power value more than 160 watts are not allowed to take at all.
