Nestled north of Sejila Mountain and southeast of Bayi District in Gala Village, Peach Blossom Valley is a natural wild peach forest affectionately known as “Peach Blossom Valley.” Surrounded by mountains with streams flowing from the heights and lush woods all around, this valley is a paradise of wild peach trees, where birds chirp merrily among the tranquil and elegant scenery. It stands as the most accessible spot along the Nyang River for viewing peach blossoms in their full glory.
A World of Pink Clouds
In March, Peach Blossom Valley bursts into life, with cold air still lingering, but peach blossoms unfurling in abundance. Here, peach blossoms are not counted by the tree or by the blossom but bloom in vast patches that from afar look like pink clouds, creating a “world of peach blossoms.”
Ancient wild peach trees, hundreds to thousands of years old, are densely covered with blossoms, creating a striking visual against the backdrop of blue skies, white clouds, snow-capped mountains, and green trees. Even the most seasoned photographers are captivated by the wild beauty and passion of the peach blossoms in this valley.
Tips for Your Visit
- Getting There: Peach Blossom Valley is just over 10 kilometers from Bayi Town. A taxi ride from the town center will get you there, or you can enjoy a scenic 2-hour walk.
- Events: The “Peach Blossom Cultural Tourism Festival” is held every March, lasting a month. During the festival, visitors can enjoy traditional sports competitions like archery and stone lifting, horse racing, as well as activities like rafting, gourmet food, peach tree planting, spring outings, and photography.
