Tibet Airlines Boosts Air Connectivity in the High Plateau

Tibet Airlines, officially opening on October 29, is dedicated to fully implementing the Party’s strategy of governing Tibet in the new era. With a focus on the “four major events” and “four creations,” the airline is actively optimizing its high-altitude route structure. This winter season, Tibet Airlines plans to operate more than 130 domestic routes, serving approximately 50 cities across the country. In a significant development, the company welcomed its first Airbus A319neo aircraft on October 20, providing enhanced capacity to meet the growing demand for passenger travel during the new season.

Expansion of Domestic and International Routes:

Tibet Airlines stands as the only airline in the country with the high plateau as its primary market. It operates from Lhasa Gonggar Airport, situated in the Tibet Autonomous Region, and offers overnight capacity. The airline’s strategic vision is to build an extensive network connecting the region with destinations both domestically and internationally. Key Routes and Cities:

During the winter aviation season, Tibet Airlines has expanded its operations by adding and resuming 12 domestic and foreign routes. These routes cater to 16 flight points, strengthening mass air travel options in the region. Notable route expansions include:

Lhasa – Tianjin / Qingdao / Nanjing / Shenzhen / Changsha / Guiyang.
Chengdu Shuangliu – Songyuan / Sanming / Golmud / Rikaze.
Xi’an Changdou / Boao / Sanming.
Chongqing Boao / Pu’er.
