Day 1: Welcoming You to Lhasa

Sijin Latso:

En route, pay homage to the untouched Sijin Latso, a serene, undeveloped lake. Its natural beauty is a stark contrast to more frequented lakes like Namtso and Yamdrok Yumtso. The lake, surrounded by rhododendrons, yaks, and wildlife, offers a glimpse into the untouched beauty of Tibet.

Mila Mountain Pass and Bajetang Grassland:

Cross the Mila Pass, then journey through Bajetang Grassland. Here, you’ll see cattle, sheep, and uniquely styled Tibetan villages.

Niyang River Valley:

As you proceed, enjoy the picturesque Niyang River Valley. The drive includes stops at the Benri Divine Spring, the Niyang River Observation Deck, and a view of the confluence of the Niyang and Brahmaputra Rivers. Day 04: Pai Town to Jiacha via Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon

Tannyang Sand Dunes and Milin County:

Travel through Tanniang Sand Dunes and Milin County, stopping at the scenic Nanyigou area.

Lang County and Palchoede Monastery:

Visit Lang County and explore the Palchoede Monastery in Lang Town. This monastery is renowned for its handmade Tibetan incense, crafted from 68 medicinal herbs and blessed by lamas.

Duiba Village:

Located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, this temple, covering over 2,000 square meters, stands as one of Nyingchi’s largest. Built-in 1195 AD, it has a rich history, transitioning from the Geju to the Gelug sect due to religious dynamics.

Tongkang Manor:

Day 05: Jiacha to Zedang via Lhamo Lhatso

Travel to Zedang:

Start your day with a scenic drive to Zedang, a hub of Tibetan culture. Along the way, marvel at the expansive Dago Canyon along the Yarlung Zangbo River.

Lhamo Lhatso:

Visit Lhamo Lhatso, also known as the Holy Lake. Situated in the mountains of Qukejie in Jiacha County, this sacred oval-shaped lake covers about one square kilometer. Its mirror-like surface, surrounded by mountains, offers tranquil and picturesque views. The lake is frozen for nearly seven months of the year and is revered in Tibetan culture.

Samye Temple:

Conclude your day with a visit to the historic Samye Temple, a significant site in Tibetan Buddhism, followed by an overnight stay in Zedang.

Day 06: Zedang to Shigatse via Yamdrok Lake and Karola Glacier

Explore the Gyangtse Dzong Martyr Memorial Site, a historical location commemorating the Tibetan resistance against British forces. Your journey concludes in Shigatse. Day 07: Shigatse to Rongbuk Monastery via Lazi and Dingri

View of Everest: Near Tingri, catch your first glimpse of Mount Everest, along with other majestic peaks like Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu.

Rongbuk Monastery: Everest Base Camp:

Continue to Rongbuk Monastery, the highest temple in the world, located at 5,154 meters above sea level. Here, experience the grandeur of Mount Everest up close, about 20 kilometres from the summit. The Everest Base Camp for a closer view of the summit and the iconic Mount Everest stone monument. Conclude your day with an overnight stay at Rongbuk Monastery, capturing stunning sunset views of Everest.

Day 08: Everest Base Camp to Shigatse via Gawula Pass


Witness the majestic sunrise over Mount Everest before returning to Shigatse, enriched with the beauty and spirituality of Tibet.

Sunrise Over Everest:

Begin your morning with the breathtaking sight of the sunrise over Mount Everest. If lucky, witness the unique “Everest Flag Cloud”, a weather indicator formed by convective cumulus clouds above the peak. After the sunrise, head back to Shigatse via Gyatso La Mountain.

Tashilhunpo Monastery:

In Shigatse, visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, an important cultural and religious site. This temple, comparable to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, is one of the four major monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and is the largest in the region. Tashilhunpo is also one of the six famous Yellow Sect temples in China.

Day 09: Shigatse to Namtso via Dazhuka and Yangbajing

Journey through Dazhuka: After breakfast, your journey takes you through Dazhuka, leading to the Xegula Mountain.

Yangbajing Geothermal Hot Springs:

Arrival at Namtso:

Day 10: Namtso to Lhasa via Nyenchen Tanglha

Day 11: Departure from Lhasa
